Project 365, Here I Come!

In the month of November I participated in National Vlog Month of 2008. I got 14 days into it, but could not finish because my MacBook Pro's NVIDIA video card without. As we all know, no video card = no video blogs. I have however, decided to start Project 365, which is about twelve times as long and require me to make a video everyday for an entire year. I started on February 13, 2009 and so far I have managed to keep up, making all eight videos which I have linked to below. Vimeo is my chosen hosting site for the videos since they offer a very clean interface and a much more mature community than YouTube. I hope you enjoy the videos each day. I will try to embed them in this site so you don't have to inconvenience yourself by visiting an entirely other site. Enjoy the HDness.

[001/365 - February 13, 2009]

This is the start of my videos fro Project 365. Yes I am going to attempt to record and upload a video everyday for a year, which in turn will equate to 365 videos if I am doing the math right.

Today, my sister and I got the munchies for something sweet so we decided to make some Rice Krispy treats. The problem was that we didn't have enough marshmallows for the whole batch so we had to sort of improvise on the measurements.

My sister being the amazing cook that she is (she usually is). Decided to not melt the marshmallows long enough. She then coerced me into putting the Rice Krispies in while the marshmallows were still chunky. This turned out to be a disaster in the appearance, but they still tasted pretty darn scrumptious.

[002/365 - February 14, 2009]

It was Valentines and there is only one girl I wanted to spend it with. She is the love of my life, "Olga" my Xbox 360. I decided that I would download Halo Wars and give it a try.

"Sexual Healing" - Marvin Gaye

[003/365 - February 15, 2009]

Oh my gosh I love cherry pies (no pun intended). Om nom nom!

[004/365 - February 16, 2009]

Today was really rainy so I couldn't really do anything great. The highlight of my day was dessert. One of my favorite desserts is strawberry shortcake.

"Thinking Loudly" - El Ten Eleven

[005/265 - 2/17]

Don't you hate it when you have an idea and you picture how awesome it is going to be, but then it never quite turns out as awesome as you originally thought it to be? This is how I feel about this video. This was my first attempt at a driving scene so I think I should be able to improve on a lot of things (the first being ACTUALLY ABLE TO SEE). Enough of the rambling about how much of a shoddy job I did.

This was taken in the back of my car traveling from where I go to school (shall remain nameless) to my house (shall also remain nameless).

"Dripping Whispers" - The Soul's Release

[006/365 - 2/18]

My dad, brother, and I ventured over to visit my grandma and grandpa. My grandma makes the best homemade beans in the known universe. Politics aside. My grandpa injured his leg, therefore rendering him incapable of operating a mobile vehicle. He is convinced however, that he can drive.

[007/365 - 2/19]

My brother Diggy is learning how to drive. My mom was riding shotgun and I was in the backseat when we decided to allow him to drive, thus putting our lives in his precious hands. At first he was sort of all over the place, particualarly going halfway into the adjacent lane. I had about 2.5 heart attacks during the entire event, but thankfully he got the hang of it and we survived.

Diggy, you should press the break harder.

[008/365 - 2/20]

Today my aunt, cousin, mother, brother and I went to San Juan Capistrano and ate at Ramo's House Cafe. Basically it's an old style house (that the chef lives in) right besides the train tracks. Today the food seemed to have sort of a contemporary comfort theme about it. This included tomato soup and grilled cheese and mac' and cheese (which was really good).

Howdy!

Hello. I've been blogging for a while but I though I'd start fresh (again) with a new theme and some new posts. I hope you stick around. We'll get through this, I promise.
